Alton DeMario Howard was born September 13, 1979 in Augusta, GA. He is a business owner a Licensed Physical Therapist. He graduated cum laude from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia in 2002, with a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education. In 2004, he graduated magna cum luade from Howard University with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy. While attending Howard University, he received the Perseverance Award for his dedication and hard work. He went on to finish his doctorate degree at MGH institute of Health Professions, which is ranked by Best Grad Schools & U.S. News Rankings as one of the best physical therapy programs in the country. He graduated cum laude in 2008.
Alton has received numerous awards and honors from his clients for his professionalism, as well as his creative and effective treatment approach. He is a former model and spokes person for his profession’s national professional organization (American Physical Therapy Association). He has also done fitness videos geared towards the fitness and health of older adults.
Alton has lectured at Howard University and mentored numerous high school and college students. Additionally, he has done extensive research on Constraint Induced Therapy on people who have suffered from a stroke. His research has been presented at several professional conferences in Brazil and Washington, DC. Alton enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and learning. He has dedicated his life to improving the lives of others.
